Purposes and Code of Conduct

A great deal of thought and input has been put into what the Purposes of Climbing Victoria should be and should be limited to. As a result, we believe these Purposes represent a firm consensus of our members and the boundaries which guide the direction and activities of our board. Similarly, our Code of Conduct describes a consensus view and commitment to the way we shall interact with each other and those outside of the climbing community.

We understand that there is a diverse range of opinions within the climbing community and that not all climbers will fully agree with this scope of activity and behaviour. While we value diversity of opinion and welcome its expression we do require members of our organisation to demonstrate support for the boundaries that we have agreed on below.

Courage - We speak up about the things that matter to us in ways that are kind and constructive. We support one another in challenging conversations.
